Every Child Matters

There is no escaping the horror of the discovery of so many students in unmarked graves across Canada on the site of former residential school. I am profoundly saddened by the harm and legacy of residential schools. We all pray for the survivors of Indian residential School, and the sorrow they have endured. More importantly, we pray for those young children who lost their lives while attending the school. Edmonton Catholic Schools Indigenous Learning Department has streamed, via YouTube, a special ceremony including a traditional Honour Song for all Indigenous children who never made it home, survivors, and their families.
