As Trustee for Ward 77, I believe that parents play an essential role in their child’s education. Families know their children best, and their voices matter in shaping how we support learning across Edmonton Catholic Schools. My goal is to keep building open communication where families feel heard, respected, and included in decisions that affect their children.

Working together with parents and the wider community helps us create classrooms that reflect our shared values and the unique needs of every family. Strong partnerships between home and school are at the heart of student success.

Equitable Resources for Every Student

Every student deserves access to the right tools and supports to reach their full potential. I continue to advocate for fair and effective funding, ongoing professional learning for staff, and strong supports for inclusive classrooms. Responsible governance means making sure resources are used wisely and transparently to benefit all students.

The Value of Inclusion

Inclusive education strengthens our Catholic community. When students learn together, they grow in understanding, empathy, and respect. Inclusion is not just about access; it is about belonging. I will continue to support approaches that help every student feel valued and capable of success.

Balancing Inclusion and Complexity

Inclusion works best when teachers and schools have what they need to support diverse classrooms. This includes professional learning, specialized staff, and flexible teaching strategies that meet different learning needs. Listening to families, staff, and community partners helps guide decisions that make inclusion meaningful and sustainable.

Looking Ahead

As I seek re-election as your Trustee for Ward 77, my focus remains on collaboration, accountability, and student success. I am committed to continuing this important work with parents, educators, and our community to ensure every child in Edmonton Catholic Schools has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a faith-filled environment.

If we do not take care of one another, starting with the least, with those who are most impacted, including creation, we cannot heal the world.  #SeasonOfCreation”
