Edmonton Catholic School Trustees joined division leaders at our Opening Leadership Meeting and Mass for the 2025–26 school year, held at the Lumen Christi Catholic Education Centre. It was a day filled with joy, fellowship, and inspiring words from Board Chair Sandra Palazzo, Chief Superintendent Lynnette Anderson, and our divisional Chaplains, Fr. Julian and Fr. Glenn.
The gathering reminded us that leadership in our schools is like planting seeds, creating the right conditions for growth through faith, patience, and perseverance. A candlelighting ceremony welcomed our new leaders, a powerful sign of the light of Christ guiding their service in our schools and communities.
As we begin the new school year under the theme People of Hope, let’s continue leading with faith, showing hope, and planting seeds that will flourish.
A reminder: the first day of classes for most ECSD schools is Tuesday, September 2.
