Read In Week October 4-8

This week, schools and the community celebrate Read In Week from October 4-8. We enjoy highlighting the importance of reading, celebrate books near and dear to our hearts, and even have fun dressing up as our favourite authors and book characters.

Each year I am honored to read books to students. As well, I love to share my favorite children's book "It's Not Easy Being a Bunny" by Marilyn Sadler in classrooms throughout Ward 77 and Edmonton Catholic Schools. This book is near and dear to my heart because it was the book that my children loved to read along with me when they were young. As you can see by the condition of the book in the video below, it was read a lot!

I hope this year's Read In Week theme "To Each Their Own story. We each have our own story. Our own favourite stories to read and our own stories to tell" continues to inspire all students to keep reading and to share their love of reading.
